St Patricks Day Quote

For each petal on the shamrock

This brings a wish your way -

Good health, good luck, and happiness

For today and every day.

St Patricks Day Crafts

Four Leaf Clover Handprint

Materials

Construction paper

Non-toxic Green Paint

Non-toxic Paint Brush

Non-toxic White Paper

Instructions

Paint your child’s hand with the green paint and have your child place a palm print, remembering to keep the fingers together.

Continue to place a palm print with the palms all touching 4 times.

Take your paint brush and paint a simple stem and you will have a 4 leaf clover.

** You can do this on the front of cards by using your child’s thumb instead of hand**

Stamp of Clover

Materials

Medium to large potato

Table Knife

Ink Pad / Thinned Paint

Card or Paper

Instructions

Cut the end off the potato and on the cut end draw the outline of a clover leaf.

Using a table knife (for safety) carefully carve away the excess potato down about an inch until only the shamrock remains.

Use the potato like a stamp with an ink pad or thinned paint (either of them will do. But the color should be green)

Now decorate paper or cards with these stamps for St. Patrick's Day.

It's going to be a lucky day!

Take time to sit down with your children to make 4 Leaf Clovers and your luck has already improved.

It's smiles all around today.

St Patricks Day Poem

St. Patrick's Day is here, you see,

We'll pick some shamrocks, one, two, three,

We'll count the leaves and look them over,

And maybe find a four-leaf clover,

I'll sew green buttons on my vest,

Green for St. Patrick's Day is the best,

I'll wear a green hat, very high,

And dance a jig-at least I'll try!

Gold, Gold, Who's got the Gold

Supplies:

A large gold coin

How To Play:

A child is chosen to be the Leprechaun and hides her eyes as a gold coin is given to a child to hide in his lap or behind his back.

The Leprechaun then has three chances to guess which child has their gold coin. (All children hide their hands in their laps/behind their backs like they have it.) .

We would appreciate your comments or suggestions and would love to hear from you :)
